Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: City tour

We will collect you from your hotel at 1:00 pm. We will start the tour in the main square of Cusco, and then we will continue on foot with the group through an ancient Inca built street from the main square to koricancha, the sun temple In koricancha you will see the clash between the Inca culture and the Catholicism, and you will see firsthand the difference in building methods. The inca construction in this place is amazing as this was the key spiritual center of the Incas from which all roads lead from all of the four quarters of the Inca Empire.

After to visit the sun temple you will take the bus to climb up and just outside of the city. The 20 minute drive takes you to the majestic Inca site of Saqsayhuaman where you will see the enigmatic monoliths weighing 140 tons. Your guide will give you all the information Inca site and then you will have extra time to do a bit of exploring on your own.

From saqsayhuaman it is a 5 minute bus ride to Q’enqo Inca site in this place there is a fascinating Inca altars, after this place you will have another 10 minute drive to Puka Pukara site you will visit an interesting circular site. And the final stop on your tour is Tambomachay, a water temple with the impressive water fountains. And then we will drive back down to Cusco city. Tour ends in the main square. Unless you are taking a private tour, in this case we will return you to your Hotel and finish of the service.
